Immigration El Salvador refers to the process of immigration of people belonging to various countries and ethnic origins to El Salvador. Immigration in El Salvador started from the year 1983 when almost 75 immigrants arrived in the land of El Salvador from other countries. A huge population from other neighboring countries of El Salvador settled down in this country for better employment and better conditions of living.
Immigration to El Salvador also took place due to the wide variety of resources that were found in this country. Natives of the Caribbean islands largely moved to El Salvador due to the recurrent occurrence of natural calamities. A huge exodus took place during the time when the civil crisis was at its peak in Sudan, Guatemala and Mexico. People from all age groups shifted to El Salvador but the section of native women and children were the most to migrate.
