Factor behind the Civil War in El Salvador

United States supported the government of El Salvador, because it feared that the activities of the guerillas in El Salvador, pay prove to be harmful to the expansion of Communism in the world. But however, with the election of Ronald Reagan as the President of United State, US policy towards the El Salvador Civil War began to change.
El Salvador Civil War ultimately ended with the signing of a United Nation supported Peace Accord in January 1992.
