El Salvador Judiciary is an important branch under the El Salvador Government. This governmental institution is responsible for formulating the laws of the land. The Supreme Court of Justice operates the government judicial branch. The Judicial system of El Salvador keeps a proper check on the maintenance of the law and order that have been formulated for the society. There are three division of the Supreme Court. These divisions are known as chambers and comprise:
The Constitutional Chamber
The Civil Chamber
The Criminal Chamber
All these chambers have different types of works, but all are related to the judiciary of El Salvador. The chambers can also be referred as the smaller level of courts. Among all the chambers, the biggest is the Constitutional Chamber that comprises four magistrates and the President of Supreme Court. The other two chambers- the civil and criminal chamber, hear different types of cases and passes judgments. If any of the party is not satisfied with the judgment then they can make an appeal of reopening the case to the Constitutional chamber.
In order to become a member of the judiciary in El Salvador one has to abide-by many rules and regulations. It is compulsory for all the magistrates to be a Salvadorian by birth, must serve as a lawyer for at-least ten years and should be over forty years. El Salvador Judiciary has been carrying out its responsibilities since it's the country's Independence.
