There is no custom duty on the import of the following items to Egypt:
- Gifts, worth E£500 can be purchased.
- One liter of Liquor or alcohol
- Number of cigarretes-200
- Number of cigars- 25
- Tobacco- 200 g
- Eau de cologne or perfumes- 1 liter
Egypt Duty Free Prohibitions
The import of certain commodities to Egypt is prohibited. These include goods such as narcotics, guns, cotton, firearms, gold and silver and many more. There is exemption if small quantities of goods are bought for personal usage. Every person during their travel must list in their passports, all electronic items that they carry such as computers, I-pods, laptops, video cameras, tape recorders and others, so that they can be exported during their exit. Travelers’ cheque, cash and gold must be reported during entry.
