Benha is also popular as a rail junction and trade hub. Though there are many places of interest in Benha, the most important attraction among them is probably the Benha University. The faculty of this educational institute is highly educated and with their efficiency, has brough fame to this university.
Besides this, the new bridge of Benha is also worth visiting. The length of this bridge is roughly five kilometers and width is around twenty-six meters.
The plae is well linked with all the other major destinations of Egypt. So, it will not be a tough job for a tourist to reach Benha from any place of the country.
The remains of Athribis that once had been the capital of the 10th Nome, lies very close to this place. Athribis was famous for the worship of the black bull. It is assumed that during the Roman period, this city acquired its highest importance. Benha is also poular for its oranges, grapes and honey, that it has cultivated since the Middle Ages.
