The findings from the insurance industry in Egypt depicts that, the Gross premium incomes of the country has reached to L.E 4036 million in 2003-04 compared to L.E 3038 million in the previous year. The Life Insurance premiums have increased to L.E 1338 million in 2003-04 from L.E 939 million in the previous year. The non-Life insurance premiums have amounted to L.E 2698 million in 2003-04 from L.E 2099 million in the previous year.
The insurance companies in Egypt include both the public sector companies and the private sector companies.
