All these above mentioned kings and queens of Egypt had contributed a lot in the country's betterment. Pharaohs and Egypt are in fact inseparably linked up. While talking about the Egyptian civilization, the name that first strikes our mind is the pharaoh, Tutankhamun. He was probably the 12th king of the 18th Dynasty (1336-1327 B.C.).
Another name that needs special mention is Cleopatra VII. She belonged to the Ptolemaic Dynasty and acquired her position at her father's death.
Most of these rulers of Egypt used to wear crowns and headdresses that were mostly made of organic materials. The best known them is probably the golden death mask of Tutankhamun. This is popularly known as Nemes crown and was made of cloth. The king used to tie it around his head, covering the neck and shoulders, and at the back it was knotted into a tail.
