Ancient Symbols of Egypt

Ancient symbols of Egypt represent the all round aspects of Egyptian lives. Some of them include symbols for life, symbol of Osiris, sign for Encircling Protection, symbol of Guardianship, Sign for Encircling Protection, healing sign, Symbol of Fertility and Regeneration, Rebirth, Totality, Symbol of Ascension and Resurrection, sign of Wisdom and Protection and Eternity of the Universe.

All the above-mentioned ancient symbols of Egypt have major significance in the lives of the Egyptians. They are basically meant for the maintenance of peace and harmony.

Ankh is considered to be a major symbol of life and has the ability to lock the mysteries and charms of earth and heaven. On the other hand, Djed Pillar is said to be the Sign of Osiris, the god of Dead. This is not all there is also a symbol named Crook, which is assumed to be the sign of Guardianship and is given the power and authority, whereas Eye of Horus represents the sign of healing.

In this country, Frog is also another important symbol of ancient Egypt. Here frog symbolizes fertility and regeneration and is given different names. On the other hand, for symbolizing rebirth, Lotus is used.

Beside all these signs, the major Egyptian symbol that deserves special mention is Pyramid. It is a sign of Ascension.
