Victoria College in Alexandria

Victoria College in Alexandria was established in the year 1902 under the initiative of Evelyn Baring, first Earl of Cromer of the Barings Bank.
For many years, the British Consul-General had been the ex officio on the Victoria College board.

The primary aim of the Victoria College in Alexandria was to raise the imperial education standard. The organization always tries to remain free from the influences of madrassas. The outstanding subscribers of this project were the members of the internationalized Jewish minority in the country of Egypt.
