British International School in Cairo is a privately owned British school of Egypt. It takes part in the GCSE, IB and SAT exams. The school was
set up in the year 1976 to spread the British educational principles. Its curricula are meant for the expatriate British children and Anglo-Egyptian communities.

British International School in Cairo or BISC is basically an independent, financially aided society. It is controlled by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The school is located in Zamalek, a residential place on a big island closely situated beside the city center. The private Gezira Sporting Club is also located within a close proximity. Here, the sporting options are widely used by the school students.

The school has set up digital projectors for use. They are currently placed in all the classrooms. Besides that, this Egyptian school also comprises many mobile carts of laptops.

British International School, Cairo is an exclusive entry-level school. Before taking admission in this school, the students have to attend informal interviews with the school principal. Apart from that, the further interviews are taken by the relevant school heads. Admission is fully dependent on the space availabilities.
