The myth of earth's creation incorporates many mythical figures. The important figures of ancient Egypt mythology are Ra, Osiris, Isis and Horus. Ra was the sun and source of all power. Osiris was the king of the land resided by dead. Isis was Osiris's sister who later became his wife and she gave birth to Horus. He became the ruler of earth.
Later periods also show the emergence of local deities. Amon, Hathor, Hapi, Neit became popular among people of Egypt. The concept of Triad and Ennead also came in ancient Egypt. Worship of Ra, the Sun god, became very popular.
Ancient Egypt mythology includes the iconography followed by people of the ancient civilization. Egyptian gods and goddesses were presented with a figure that was partly human and partly animal. Mythologies also refer to the strong belief of the Egyptians that there is a life after death. Thus preservation of the dead bodies was considered very important.
