Pacific Ocean

Pacific Ocean is the largest and the deepest ocean in the world and it is the oldest too. Pacific Ocean occupies about one third of the earth's surface. The peculiar feature of Pacific Ocean is that its area is greater than all the world's dry land put together. The average depth of pacific ocean is 4,000m.

Pacific Ocean touches Asia and Australia in the west and in the east the America. This special character it has as it is triangular in shape, broad in the Arctic south and narrow in the Arctic north. Pacific Ocean has a lot many islands. Its has got many small islands too and they are divided into two types – many are high and volcanic and others are low and formed on the top of submerged volcanoes. The large islands of Pacific Ocean are – Taiwan, Borneo, Japan, and New Guinea.

Pacific Ocean witnesses a similar pattern of the system of winds and of the currents as of the Atlantic. The pattern is that it moves clockwise in the northern hemisphere and anti-clockwise in the south. Pacific Ocean has many creatures in it like, it is a home to a variety of beautiful fishes, sharks, squids, crustaceans, molluscs and mammal.

Pacific Ocean with its beauty attracts many sea loving people who have an interest in adventure. Pacific Ocean is known for its dangerous volcanoes and it allures the adventure loving people.
