Empanadas is an Ecuadorian preparation popular in Latin America. Ecuadorian Food is spicy, hot and mouth watering that mostly comprises high quality sea food, Andean Potatoes, Pork and llama meat, and many queer things not known to the rest of the world. Preparation Method Of Empanadas::
The Dough
In a container add flour and salt to taste. Piece the shortening to tiny portions. Moisten the dough slightly. Roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut into 4-inch spheres. Dust all sides of the dough balls with floor equally.
Fruit Filling:
Mix the apple, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Heat the pan in medium temperature and mix the ingredients properly.
The Meat Filling:
Cook the onion, green pepper and olive oil in a pan and add tomato paste, water, and vinegar, and cook for 20 minutes. Add meat and let it soak in the sauce.
Envelop small portions of the meat filling in the dough cirlesand cook them in a microwave oven at a preheated temperatre of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) until the balls turn golden brown.
