- The Otavalo celebrations of Inti Raymi or June and Yamur or early September are both very colorful and important celebrations which posit a combination of indigenous cosmic vision and roman catholicism.
- Bullfights and important soccer games are considered to be very important sports. Although they are not properly named festivals they are a means of entertainment in small villages. These bull fights have gained acclamation in world sports because they have attracted some of the most famous fighters on the planet.
