The volcanic stretch of Galapagos Islands is made up of 13 major islands and six smaller islands. This Ecuador Destination is the second largest marine reserve in the world and is spread over 19,500 square miles and was declared a National Park in 1959.
The climate of Galapagos Islands is unique because of its position between the three ocean currents. And it is therefore that it is an ideal place for shelter of about 50 percent of the rare species.
