East Timor Region - 16th Sept 2008

An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 on Richter scale shook the East Timor Region on September 16, 2008 at 7:15:41 PM. The epicenter of the earthquake is reported to be 140 Km (87 miles) E (101 degrees) of DILI, East Timor & 386 Km (240 miles) ENE (68 degrees) of Kupang, Timor, Indonesia. No major casualties have been reported so far in this tremor which originated at the depth of 44 Km.
