Buses run through all places of Denmark whether they are small towns or even remote villages. In fact, buses serve as the major ling with bigger cities in those areas across Denmark which do not access to trains or air routes. Earlier bus routes were connected only to towns and hamlets within Denmark but very recently the Danish government has understood the importance of starting some long-distance bus routes and the result is that bus routes have been established between Frederickshavn and Esbjerg, in the Jutland area of Denmark , between Copenhagen and Aalborg and also between Copenhagen and Hanstholm, bus routes have also connected the Danish capital with Arhus, Arhus with Høje Taastrup, Odense with Nykøbing Falster and several other bus routes have also started operations within Denmark.
Most of these bus routes are affiliated with the Nordjyllands Trafikselskab which offer buses on all routes across Denmark and some especial buses to Aalborg. Some of the very luxurious and comfortable bus rides on local routes within Jutland are provided by the Nordjyllands Trafikselskab. Some of the express routes along which buses in Denmark ply are:-

Denmark is also well connected with some major destinations in Europe through some popular bus routes like between Denmark and Germany, Belgium, Great Britain, Netherlands and France. All these routes take about 12 to 14 hours with the exception of the following routes:
Brussels and Copenhagen which takes up almost 12 to15 hrs.
