Nyborg is a town in Denmark located in the gorgeous island of Funen . The town of Nyborg can be accessed from all places in Denmark as it is located at its centre.
The first mention of this town in the history of Denmark is to be found in the 12 th century. The reason behind the popularity of the town of Nyborg is the presence of an ancient castle in the town. There are only thirty two thousand residents in the city of Nyborg which is located in the gorgeous island of Funen. In 1998 the city gained international fame when it became the proud owner of the longest suspension bridge of Europe.

At one point of time Nyborg had also served as the capital of Denmark. The Nyborg royal castle dating back to the 12 th century is the remnant of the cities gallant past. The Castle Banqueting hall comes to life every three years when it becomes the venue of the largest Nordic Piano Contest. There are number of museums, monuments and amusement parks in the city of Nyborg which attract tourists every year.



Nyborg though not a capital anymore has retained its significant position by being the venue to all the major meetings and conferences. The six big hotels in the city play a perfect host to these big events. The city of Nyborg is about 130 kilometers from Copenhagen the capital of Denmark and well connected by rail and motorway. So visiting this city while in Denmark is an absolute must for the tourists.
