Czech Republic is a womb which has given birth to many eminent contributors to the cultural genre of the country and the world at large. Jaroslav Foglar is an ideal son of that womb. Born in the year 1907, Jaroslav Foglar is one of the most famous authors that the Czech Republic ever had. The stories of Jaroslav Foglar revolves around the adventures of young boy scouts and are mainly based on his long term experience at the summer camps.

Jaroslav Foglar wrote a number of books which earned him international fame, these include:
