Located in the geographic coordinates of 49 degree 45 minute north latitude and 17 degrees 15 minutes east longitude, the
Olomouc Region of Czech Republic stretches across 145.100 hectares of land. The city of Olomouc covers an area of 11.120 hectares. The region is located on the eastern frontier of the country of Czech Republic. The region has a population of 2, 26,651 inhabitants, with 1, 06,278 inhabitants residing in the city. Almost 58 percent of the total population of the region belongs to the productive age while 21 percent each belong to the pre-productive and the post productive age. Realizing the importance of education, the government has set up 26 elementary schools and 11 secondary schools. One university is present in the region along with 13 training institutes.
While on a tour of the
