Located in Nicosia, Cyprus Volleyball Federation is the official body of the several volley ball teams in Cyprus. The association organizes all the volley ball tournaments within the country and abroad. The game made its first appearance in the year 1920. Over the years, it has become one of the most popular sports in Cyprus. Volley ball in Cyprus was formerly administered by Greek Sports Federation. But after 1978, a new association was being formed, which later on came to be known as
Cyprus Volleyball Federations.
The CVF (Cyprus Volleyball Federations) is an active member of the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) and of CEV or Confederation European de Volleyball. Presently CVF consists of twenty-five clubs. Apart from these, it has sixty teams in youth events. The Cyprus Volleyball Federations is responsible for presenting the Cyprus football teams in the international competitions of Volley ball.

The working president of the Cyprus Volleyball association is Andreas Stavrou. The association runs the second division as well as first division championship. The Federation is also engaged in organizing junior competitions. It is also responsible for the national Volley- ball teams.
