Tsirion Stadium

Tsirion Stadium is located at Kapsalos in Limassol. Tsirion Stadium was constructed between 1973 and 1975 and was finally opened in the year 1975.

Tsirion Stadium was named after Mr. Petros Tsiros who was a great philanthropist as well as a benevolent contributor towards the construction of the Tsirion Stadium. The capacity of Tsirion Stadium is 13,152 people. Cyprus Sport Organization is the proprietor of this stadium.

During 1990s the home ground of Cyprus national football team was Tsirion Stadium. Tsirion Stadium is the home ground of the following sports club also:
  • Apollon Limassol
  • AEL Limassol
  • Aris Limassol
An athletics track encircles Tsirion Stadium. This stadium serves Limassol Athletics Club GSO as the home ground. Tsirion Stadium was the venue of the 1992 UEFA European Under-16 Football Championship for two semi-final matches of the tournament. Some final matches of Cyprus Cup as well as Cyprus Super Cup are held from time to time at the Tsirion stadium.
