Cyprus golf is a relatively new term in the world of Cypriot games and sports. A new sport in the island, golf came into the limelight during the latter half of 1990s. From that time onwards Cyprus golf has held a significant position in the country's sports. The Cyprus Golf Federation (CGF) was set up in 2000 with the aim of promoting golf and dealing with the sport in Cyprus.
Since 2000 a number of golf courses and clubs have come up in Cyprus. The major golf clubs of Cyprus are:

- Nicosia Golf Club ( NGC)
- Limassol Golf Club ( LGC)
Each of the golf clubs in Cyprus, with their own set of rules, is dedicated towards promoting and improving the standard of golf in the island. Most of the clubs have their own courses. The golf courses in Cyprus vary in their area and the number of holes they contain. The golf clubs provide the golf dress with the spike shoes and the golfing equipment.
Almost all the clubs offer several facilities for the families of the members like mini-golf and a swimming pool. Some of the golf courses and clubs are a part of luxury resorts with provisions for golf for the members of the club as well as for the guests. Cyprus golf is more of a game for the elites than the masses. The tourists visiting the country and putting up at the luxury resorts can also indulge in this world class game.
