On 11th November, 2002 the Annan Plan for Cyprus was presented. On 10th December of the same year the plan was revised. In 2003 also the Annan Plan of Cyprus again got revised. The 26th February 2003 text is the basis of negotiation between the leaders. The text needed to be updated during the negotiations.
A three-page allegiance, for submission of the Foundation Agreement to be approved by simultaneous referanda towards achieving a decisive settlement, marked the beginning of the Cyprus Annan Plan. This allegiance has got two purposes, the matters for security council decision and the foundation agreement.
Once both the parties get ready to hold the referenda the latter document will be put to the Security Council by the Secretary-General. It will support the Foundation Agreement, which is consisted of 11 Annexes and the Main Articles. The major elements of the plan is present in the Main Articles which is a ten-page summary of the Agreement.
The 11 Annexes are contain several things such as
Annexe I: It is the Constitution, containing the map of the country.
Annexe II: It contains three constitutional laws.
Annexe III: The federal laws are included here.
Annexe IV: The Cooperation Agreements between the constitutional states and the federal government.
Annexe V: It includes some incomplete treaties between United Cyprus Republic and Foundation Agreement.
Annexe VI: This annexe not only demarcates the territorial boundaries of the state, and also lays down the provisions for future readjustment for administrative reasons. It also states the guidelines to govern the renewed settlement of the inhabitants of the affected territories.

Annexe IX: It includes various things like the Treaty between Cyprus, Turkey and Greece.
Annexe X: It includes a calender of the obligations implemented elsewhere by the Foundation Agreement.

Annan Plan for Cyprus has helped to resolve many problems of the country.
