It is a custom in Cyprus to leave their front door unlocked because they consider their land to be safe and their people honest. People are helpful and genuine. They believe in strong family bonding. Customs in Cyprus do not allow the people to support racism.

The cultural practice of Cyprus gives importance to folk dance. Both men and women perform in folk dances during social occasions like wedding or during religious festival. It symbolizes male and female bonding. There are different styles of dance like Datsia, Antikristos etc.
