The Education in Cuba has been successfully accelerated by the Cuban revolution. Prior to the Revolution, the Education in Cuba was available to less than 50% of the children in Cuba. The government of Cuba waged a revolutionary war against illiteracy in around 1960. Before the campaign maximum numbers of people were unable to read. School Education in Cuba : Students between the ages of 6 and 16, have to compulsorily attend school. There are colored school uniforms to mark every grade. The duration of primary education is 6 years. Secondary education has 2 parts, which are basic and pre-university secondary education. The students follow the principles of self-discipline, patriotism and hard work.
Higher Education in Cuba : The oldest university of Cuba is the University of Havana. There are other 47 universities, where one can pursue higher studies.
