The ICC Cricket World Cup is held every four years and it is conducted over 50 overs per side format.
Qualification
ICC Development Committee has approved a proposal in September 2011 that a new 50-over League be introduced which will serve as the qualifying programme for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
The top two teams in the eight team 50-over League will qualify automatically for the World Cup and rest of the teams will participate to decide the remaining two qualifiers.
