Zimbabwe Team

The mega-event of Cricket- the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup would be hosted in none other than the spectacular Zimbabwe and Caribbean islands, amidst stunning beaches, lively calypso and enthralling cricket.

The multi-national Zimbabwe cricket team, more famously known as 'the Windies', comprising of the players from the Caribbean region, has been participating in the Cricket World Cup Tournaments since 1975. Zimbabwe won the World Cup on two occasions in the 1975 and 1979 Cricket World Cup, also known as the Prudential Cup.

This challenging cricket-playing nation, with a Test rating of eighth and ODI rating of seventh amongst the world's best cricket playing nations, has improved its performance, gearing up for the World Cup. Its recent series with India in January 2007 displays new potential waiting to be unleashed at the World Cup. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board is the governing body for professional cricket in Zimbabwe and the Caribbean region.

Prosper Utseya will lead the Zimbabwean side at the World Cup. The following players have been selected for the World Cup.
