Queens Park Grenada



Built in 1998, the stadium has 13,000 seating capacity and is able to hold 20,000 people with the help of temporary stands. It was devastated by the Hurricane Ivan in 2004 and has been rebuilt for the World Cup in partnership with the People's Republic of China. Some of the Super-8 matches will be played in this stadium located in Grenada, a volcanic island in the Caribbean.

Those planning to explore the island have many opportunities. Its physical beauty with rich plantations, beaches, various churches, forts, museums and monuments add to its attraction. It has a number of attractive places including St George’s, the capital and one of the most beautiful spots in the Caribbean, Carenage, the center of marine activity on the island, Fort George, the oldest fort in Grenada, Grenada National Museum, the main museum of Grenada that preserves the history of the island and Grand Etang National Park, one of the main attractions of the island.

People will also get the chance to celebrate various events and festivals in the island especially St Patrik’s Day Festival and Carriacou Maroon Music Festival which will be celebrated during the month of March and April and will coincide with the World Cup Cricket 2007.
