Scotland Team
Scotland is an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council. They qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 1999. However, it was a disappointing campaign for them as they could not win a single match. They failed to qualify for the 2003 World Cup in South Africa . This time they have again qualified through the ICC's qualifying tournament. Though the Scottish team does not have any realistic chance of posing any threat to any of the big teams, this exposure at the top level will help them a lot. They are placed in Group A, along with Australia , South Africa and The Netherlands.
Scotland was the first team to announce the final 15 squad members for the World Cup ahead of the others. Craig White is the captain of the side.
