The main reason for the popularity of the West Indies islands is their easy accessibility especially from North America . Most Americans fly to these islands to spend their vacations. Liat, Caribbean Star, SVG Air, American Eagle, Air Caraibes, Cubana, ALM, Winair, and St Barths Commuter are the some of the main regional airlines that serve as link between the islands. Conviasa Airlines, SVG Air, TIA, Golden Caribbean and Thomas Cook Airlines operate direct flights to Grenada from other Caribbean islands.
