People of Russian Federation : the people of the Russian Federation are predominantly descendents of the ancient Rus race. Almost all of them are Slavic in origin. Culture : though the Russian federation has a hybrid culture that reflects its Soviet past, the traits are nevertheless dominantly Slavic or more specifically, East Slavic. It is a derivation of the ancient ‘Rus' culture that was steeped in Orthodox Christianity. Some of the things that make the culture of the country stand out are its various types of ballet – like Russian ballet, Ballets Russes, Barynya, Kamarinskaya; its Byzantine art and icon painting.
Music : the Russian Federation has a rich and diverse cultural heritage.Some of the indigenous music born and nurtured in the Russian Federation is Russian folk songs, Russian Church Music and Russian Opera.
