PEOPLE OF NETHERLANDS ANTILLES
In Netherlands Antilles almost 221,736 people live. Most of the population is ruled by the race mixed black. Other minorities are Carib Amerindian, East Asian and white people etc. various regions have gathered in this country. These are Roman Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostal, Jehovah's Witnesses, Methodist, Jewish, Christian etc. The official language of Netherlands Antilles is Dutch. However Papiamento, Spanish, English, Creole etc are also widely spoken in various parts of the country.

Art: Sculpturing is a popular art in Netherlands Antilles. It is practiced in various corners of the country. Besides that, some local handicrafts also exist in different regions. Curios are also made in some places.
Culture: The culture of the country is a mixed one. Various races and tribes have gathered here and have formed a diverse and rich cultural atmosphere.
Music: Music of Netherlands Antilles is also a reflection of the African, European and some indigenous styles. Besides that the neighboring islands have also influenced the country's music.

Suriname is an island that has introduced the kaseko music and now it is a popular form of music in the country. Another famous music is the tumba. It is performed with the instrument called conga drums.
FLAG OF NETHERLANDS ANTILLES
The flag of the Netherlands Antilles is very attractive and bears a lot of significance. The base color of the flag is white. This white background features two bands. One is horizontal band the other is a vertical band. The horizontal band is colored in blue. It bears five white stars. The vertical band is red and it is overshadowed by the blue band. So the middle portion of this red band is covered and can't be seen. Both these bands are features in the centrals position of the flag. The five stars in the blue bands are symbolic of the five islands, i.e. Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Sint Maarten.
ECONOMY OF NETHERLANDS ANTILLES
The economy of Netherlands Antilles is partially dependent on the tourism industry and also on its agriculture. The agricultural products are primarily sorghum, peanuts, aloes, tropical fruits, vegetables and so on. The industries that are growing in this country are tourist industry, petroleum refining industry and some others. The export trade earns a major portion of the revenue. Petroleum products are the main export commodities of the country. The nations that are involved with Netherlands Antilles in this export business are US, Panama, Haiti, Mexico, Venezuela and Bahamas.
