Kakshaal-Too range stands as the country's highest mountainous peaks that strengthen the Chinese border. Jengish Chokusu that ascends to a length of 24,400 feet is the highest known point.
The chief river of the region is Naryn that passes through the western area to the Fergana Valley reaching the area of Uzbekistan, where it connects with Kara Darya to form Syr Darya, which ultimately leads to the Aral Sea. The Chui River is even seen to flow along the area of Kyrgyzstan as it enters Kazakhstan.
CLIMATE OF KYRGYZSTAN
The climate of Kyrgyzstan is affected with its geographical variations and other related factors as per the region wise. Kyrgyzstan is subjected to continental weather conditions with limited amount of precipitation.
Most portion of the continent is engulfed within the temperate zone while the southern region is affected with the subtropic zone. The southwestern region of Fergana Valley is affected with subtropical conditions witnessing hot summers with temperature ascending to 40°C.
Observe a temperate kind of weather setting at the northern foothills where the elevated area of Tian Shan is subjugated with dry to polar surroundings.
Winters are cooler in nature that continues consecutively till 40 days. The region is affected with subsequent
snowfall in the deserted areas to severe flooding that distresses the downstream.
FLORA AND FAUNA OF KYRGYZSTAN
Kyrgyzstan promises you with diverse range of fauna along the altitudinal sector marked with plants like steppes; meadow-steppes, meadows along with bushes in the northern front while the southern region are filled with alpine meadows. There are about 3676 types of plants present in this province. Among the species mention can be made of plants like vasilistnik, Karakol akonit, Turkestan motherwort, big elecampane, Turkestan termopsis, coltsfoot, origanum, sea buckthorn, horsetail ephedra and many others. Among the wild flowers one can view plants like the joinweed, saltwort, barberries, rhubarb, Fergana spurge, golden drop and much more.
Walnut forests, Siverse apple tree, standard pear, Tian-Shan cherry, barberries, almonds, pistachio are quite commonly found within the region.
The Brown bear is seen to rest along the alpine meadows during the summer months. Watch out for species like the wild rams, wolfs, marmots, hares, and mountain goats that can be seen here quite frequently. The rarest species found here are wild ram, aurochs, roe, bear, deer, lynx, red deer, and snow leopard. The native birds of the region are mountain goose, partridge, rock pigeon, alpine jackdaw, and big desert bullfinch.
