The Republic of Hungary is nestled within the region of Central Europe, which is engulfed by Austria, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, and Slovenia.

The Great Plain is nestled in the eastern province within the territory while the northwestern border is marked with Small Hungarian Plains. While most part of Hungary's territorial region is covered in plains that attracts several tourists round the year.
Hungary even possesses high mountainous range starting from the Transdanubian Mountains lying towards the western side from the territory of Danube. This mountainous range comprises of smaller mountains like Keszthely Mountains, Bakony, Vértes, Gerecse, Pilis and the Visegrád.
The northern mountains that broadens along the northeastern region from Danube, is constituted with smaller hills like Börzsöny, Cserhát, Mátra, Bükk, Cserehát and the Zemplén terrains.
