Cycling



Cycling is an optional sport, which has been indeed at the Commonwealth Games 2010. Road Cycling and Track Cycling are the two disciplines which are included in this game. There are various categories in events for men and women, in which countries can participate.


Brief about the game

At the 2010 Commonwealth Games there will be 14 Track Cycling events where eight will be for men and size for women. There will be two road events for men and women. There are a total of 54 medals to be won in various categories.

Rules

There are various rules and regulations associated with cycling. The rules cover duration of the event, length of the race, types of course, dress code for the race, types of cycles to be used, safety provisions etc. Some of these rules can differ based on the event categories and other requirements.
