Participating Nations



The number of participating nations in the XIX commonwealth games is expected to be 85. Given the large number of countries participating in the games,
the games in Delhi is being considered the second largest sports event after the Olympics. There will be a total of 17 sports in the Delhi Commonwealth games, for which participating countries will compete.

His is the first time that the commonwealth games will be held in Indian and the second time in Asia; in 1998 the games were organized in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. To host the games successfully in the country, the government has undertaken several infrastructure works.
