Functions of the Consular Section
The Consular Section of the Harare US Embassy provides a wide range of services. The section gives information on deaths, births, robberies abroad and arrests. The Consular Section also gives information regarding nationality and citizenship, international adoptions, voting and US taxes, international parental child abduction, notarization of documents and federal benefits. Functions not performed by Consular Section
There are some functions, which are not performed by the Consular section of the Us Embassy in Harare. The Consular Section does not act as travel agent, investigator, lawyer or bank. They do not act as interpreters, or search for missing luggage, or issue driving permits.
