Harare schools provide quality education to the students. There are a large number of schools in Harare. The medium of instruction is English but Shona or Ndebele are also taught as a subject. The curriculum is based on the Zimbabwean program of school curriculum.
The schools of Harare not only have domestic students but also many students from other African countries. The Harare school education is divided into primary and secondary level. The primary level consists of Grade 1 to Grade 7. The secondary level is divided into Forms I to VI. One is entitled to primary level school education on completion of 6 years. Admission to secondary level is based purely on the students' performance at the primary level.
