The National Gallery of Zimbabwe is one of the major tourist attractions of Harare, the Zimbabwean city. The museum stands testimony to the Shona art movement. The gallery in Harare also reflects the natural and imaginative potential of native people of the country. Modern art forms of the country are displayed in the gallery.
National Gallery of Zimbabwe is housed in an attractive Victorian building. There is an artists’ studio, curio shop in the complex of the gallery. Zimbabwe National Gallery celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2007. The Gallery is considered to be the center for the evolution and development of Zimbabwean art from

the pre-colonial to the present days.
In the Permanent Collection area of the gallery, the evolution of the country’s Stone Sculpture has been displayed. The gallery remains open daily for the visitors.
