Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences, Harare was inaugurated in 1903. It was known as Queen Victoria Museum once upon a time. This museum was built to pay a tribute to the Queen of England. Between 1903 and 1963, the museum has shifted its location thrice. It is currently located at the Civic Centre of Harare.
Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences in Harare has several exhibition galleries, a library, ethnographic and archaeological collections and a model Shona Village. The museum is rich in various kinds of historical, archaeological and zoological collections. It is open for public visit daily from 9 am to 5 pm. However, the museum remains closed on Christmas Day.

The Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences of Harare is under the management of the National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe (NMMZ). There are potteries in the museum known as Ziwa belonging to the 300 to 1000 Christian era. The museum puts a major emphasis on the studies of Stone Age and Iron Age. It also emphasizes on the preservation of rock art and historical monuments as well as historical and cultural studies of the Zimbabwean people.
