Lang Son




Bac Ninh in Vietnam is a very small province covering an area of about 799 square kilometers in northern Vietnam. The name of the province literally means "northern serenity".
The population of the province is also relatively small. Apart from the provincial capital of Bac Ninh Town, there are five other districts in the province. These include Yen Phong, Thuan Thanh, Gia Luong, Que Vo and Tien Son.

Agriculture is the chief mode of sustenance in the regions and acts as the backbone of the local economy. The climate of the province exhibits four distinctive seasons namely spring, summer, autumn and winter. The climatic conditions of the region remain pleasant throughout the year. The Bac Ninh province is inhabited by various indigenous tribes including the Tay, the Nung and the Kinh.

The province shares its borders with Hung Yen in the south and Bac Giang in the north. The province is also the home of some interesting sightseeing locations including the Dau Pagoda, Dinh Bang Communal House and the Phat Tich Pagoda. The Lim festival held in Bac Ninh also draws a large number of visitors. Bac Ninh also includes the village of Dong Ho, which is known for its traditional woodblock prints.
