Las Piedras

Las Piedras is one of the southern cities in the country of Uruguay and is one of the cities in the department of Canelones. The city of Las Piedras in Uruguay is placed in one of the districts, which are famous for wine growing in the northern areas of Montevideo. Las Piedras is more important since it was one of the places where the battle of independence took place in the land of Uruguay, in the year 1811. The revolutionaries had defeated the Spanish armed forces in that battle at Las Piedras at Uruguay.
