Verizon Center Washington DC was inaugurated in the year 1997 as the ‘MCI Center’. In 2006, when Verizon purchased the MCI Center, it was renamed as the Verizon Center. It is basically an entertainment and sports complex that has all types of modern facilities and mechanics to make a pleasurable and enjoyable evening. The place has gained great importance due to its proximity to the White House in Washington DC.
Verizon Center Washington DC is managed by Washington Sports & Entertainment, LP. There are various events that are conducted in the arena. The entertainment complex has seating facilities in the style of a stadium. The galleries provide a clear view of the events even from far off. There is an electronic scoreboard as well as a LED video system.
