Mass Transit: The public transportation system of Washington D.C. is run by the Washington Metro, which runs public buses, called Metrobus, and a subway system, called Metrorail. This is the second largest rail transit system and the fifth largest bus network in the United States. Rail transport in the city is provided by Amtrak, MARC, and VRE commuter trains. Intercity bus services are provided by Greyhound bus and dragon buses leaving from Chinatown.
Airports: Washington D.C. has three main airports, two of which are located in suburban Virginia and one is located in Maryland. These airports are Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, and Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The last of these, the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, is the largest airport in
terms of the number of passengers served.
Taxis: Traveling by taxis is one of the most convenient methods of traveling in Washington D.C. The taxis are reasonably priced and can be easily hailed in the Washington city center.
