Shreveport Schools are some of the best in the State of Louisiana, the students show

Louisiana Educational Assessment Program for the 21st Century (LEAP 21) was used to assess students in grades 4 and 8 in math, English language arts, science and social studies. The students scored high on all three parameters, with 96% in Science, 98% in English Language Arts and 97% in Math. In comparison to the State average of 15, the Teacher: Student Ratio is 1:19. Demographically, the Students are 63% Hispanic, 33% African America and 3% Asian. The Hispanic student percentage is lesser than 1%.
