Tourist Attractions: Some of the famed tourist attractions of Seattle that are definitely worth a visit are Bainbridge Island, Space Needle, and Belltown. The Space Needle was built in 1962 for the World Expo. Now, this towering 600 feet plus structure, has become Seattle's most loved landmark. Standing atop it, visitors can take a bird's eye view of the mountains, Elliott Bay, and the greater Seattle area. There is even a gift shop at this height, where tourists can buy souvenirs. At the top of the needle is a rotating restaurant, which offers a great view from every seat. Two of the best days to come to the Space Needle are New Year's Eve and Fourth of July for the great view of the fireworks. People can even host private parties at the Space Needle.

Museums: A few of the museums in Seattle offering a glimpse into its local history and culture are Bellevue Art Museum, Burke Museum, and Klondike Gold Rush - National Historical Park. Located in the University of Washington campus, the Burke Museum is the only natural history museum in this area. There are three types of exhibits in this captivating museum - anthropology, geology, and zoology, which focus on the natural and cultural history of the Pacific Rim. Among the amazing exhibits in this museum are totem poles, a dinosaur fossil, and many taxidermic displays. Also on display are traditional Native American handicrafts.

Amusement Parks: Some of the amusement parks of Seattle offering thrills and entertainment to the young and old alike are Family Fun Centers, Funtasia Family Fun Park, and Seattle Center. Each year more than 10 million visitors flock to the Seattle Center. The entertainment activities the Seattle Center attracts the visitors with are community festivals, sporting events, concerts, cultural programs, and theater performances. The amusement park located in Seattle Center, the Fun Forest, offers lots of exciting rides for young and old people alike.

Beaches: There are plenty of beaches in Seattle in which visitors can enjoy the sun and the sand. Some of the best beaches in Seattle are East Green Lake, Matthews, Magnuson, Madison, and Madrona beaches. The Matthews Beach Park is a cool, shady beach on Lake Washington, and is the city's largest freshwater bathing beach. To the west of the beach are located the playground and basketball hoops. There is a small hill above the playground, which is ideal for children to climb upon. There is a trail on the beach on which you can walk, bike, skate, or hike.

Outdoor Activities: You can enjoy plenty of outdoor activities in Seattle. For example, Northwest River Rafting where you can raft on the surging whitewaters and relax on beautiful floats with your family and friends. You can experience the thrill of fighting against the wild and buoyant rivers on your raft. There are also plenty of national parks in the Seattle area where you can spend a lazy, peaceful morning surrounded by the greenery and the sweet chirping of the birds.
