Seattle University , in the state of Washington in USA , is the largest independent university of the Northwest Pacific region of the US. Established in the year 1891 and spanning over an area of 48 acres this old Jesuit institution houses more than 7200 students. Seattle University is the alma mater of students studying various graduate and undergraduate courses. The University of Seattle offering a range of bachelor's and master's degree programs has secured a rank among the top ten schools of the Western part of US according to the US News and World Report.
Seattle University has different schools under its umbrella. They are: College of Arts and Science, Albers School of Business and Economics, Matteo Ricci College, College of Nursing, College of Science and Engineering, School of Law, School of Theology and Ministry. University of Seattle aims at both intellectual and spiritual growth of the students with help of a highly competent faculty, well designed course curriculum, limited size of the classes.

Teaching remains the top priority of the University of Seattle . It has a very low student- faculty ratio of 13:1. The faculty comes from the best in their respective fields and are readily available for interaction with the students. The later part of the curriculum of the students consists of different internship programs designed to help students prepare for the practical world. After the completion of the courses, the students are often employed by the corporate, institutional as well as employers of the public sector in the Seattle area.
The students are also encouraged to develop their understanding of the community by participating in the different community activities both inside the country and abroad. Seattle University houses a large library to help in the enhancement of the knowledge of the students. The University of Seattle has recreational centers for the students.
