Seattle Music Fest covers every form of music practiced in and around Seattle. It is one of the prime annual music festivals held in the North Pacific Rim during the month of August. The venue for Seattle Music Fest has been the spectacular Alki Beach for the past few years.
The shows are held from 4 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 p.m. - 9:30 p.m on weekends. The festival is organized and produced by Northwest Programs for the Arts for the Seattle Department of Parks & Recreation. The welcoming environment of the fest is meant for all ages. Kids, youngsters and elderly masses - all have their own part of entertainment at the fest. This music festival is open to all and does not require entry fees. Interested individuals often donate funds to cover the basic costs.

Limited parking often leads to congested road blocks, which was sorted out by the City Council by using fixed routed public transit to reach the festival venue. The visitors can access the Metro plans and then Water Taxi from Pier 54 or a free shuttle heading for Alki Beach after getting across Elliott Bay. The festival releases a CD version every year, which not only gives a detailed audio-visual version of the last year but also provides a brief profile of upcoming festival.
A number of food vendors, crafts vendors, sports & games demos and exhibitors built up stalls with permit information from Health Department and a Fire Department permit. The interested musicians from any nationality can participate in this event. They should send applications with required documents as the authorities notify.
