Library Bistro


Library Bistro is one of the most favorite hang outs in Seattle. This place is more commonly known as Library Bistro & Bookstore Bar. This restaurant belongs to the Alexis Hotel in Downtown Seattle. Location of Library Bistro is between Madison and Spring Street. This restaurant is proximal to the Benaroya Hall, Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, the Seattle Art Museum, Safeco Field and Seahawks Stadium. The decor of Library Bistro reminds of the traditional American restaurants featuring high-back booths made of faux lizard skin and intensified lighting. The wall of the restaurant is surfaced with bronze and copper checkerboard tiles and shining oak floors. The stylish and intimate ambiance is best suited for festive occasion or the most intimate dining.

The ten foot high bookcases feature extensive collection of both ancient and contemporary books, journals, newspapers and magazines. All the books housed in the library are actually for sale. The Bookstore Bar team members help the guests to search books and in purchasing them. The award of "Best of 2003" by Seattle Magazine was attributed to this Bookstore Bar for Best Hotel Bar in the city. Bookstore Bar is best accessed from First Avenue or through the entrance of the Alexis Hotel. The guests can enjoy wide array of micro brew preparations, import food items, premium wines from the Northwest and from foreign countries, Seattle's specialty drinks and famous coffee while reading in the library. The Bookstore Bar showcases one of the greatest
selections of single malt scotches in the entire city. The guests have access to chose from more than 50 varieties of scotches.

Library Bistro in Seattle serves breakfast from 7 to 10 am, which can be enjoyed while reading the interesting books in collection. The loved delicacies for breakfast in the Bistro include Brioche French Toast, Mushroom Frittata, Bistro Scramble, Corned Beef Hash and Eggs and home made Granola with Yogurt. Fresh juice and other beverages are served throughout the day. 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM are the lunch hours in the Bistro. Starting with appetizers and salads followed by sandwiches and entrees, the lunch menu comprises of special delicacies like House Cut Fries with Melted Bleu Cheese and Bacon, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Grilled Chicken and Mushroom Duxelle on Focaccia and Pear with Gorgonzola Ravioli. Brunch is served with equally tasteful delicacies only on weekends. Dinner and late night private parties are held in The Bookstore Bar.

Library Bistro & Bookstore Bar is open till 12 midnight and an outdoor seating arrangement is done from March to October. The bar area can accommodate 72 guests, whereas the reception area can accommodate around 200 guests. The authentic American cuisine of this restaurant is priced between $16 to $30.

Library Bistro offers comprehensive bar dining, banquet, lounge, private dining and weekend brunch facilities.
